I like to think of the act of creation as a redistribution of everything you've ever seen, heard or felt. An amalgamation of ideas and thoughts. Whether you're creating something completely original or an homage to an idol. The act of creation is cathartic. A holy and wild ride. I like to think of the mind as a museum, we either consciously hold on to a moment or subconsciously tuck it away. No experience is ever totally lost. The inside of our minds are lined with every song, moment, smell, feeling, and idea we've ever experience. The arts are some of the most beautiful expressions of this perpetual intake of information and content. Besides facilitating the necessary outlet for human emotion, it not only is a release for the singular artist but it is also a form of repayment, by adding back into the worldwide collective of our culture. Adding another thin layer to the giant painting that is the human experience. Money doesn't drive art (Tho it is nice, plz buy this album, thanks, i'm broke <3 ) I think it's the need to tell the world how you feel. To let your friends and family in, even for just a small glimpse, into what makes you, YOU!
